The USRC Rowing Center is part of a non-profit alliance formed to offer all ages the advantages of rowing.
USRC is a member of the United States Rowing Association.
Along with the Watergate Yachting Center, the USRC Rowing Center offers a host of fitness and recreational options. |

USRC's fine floatingboathouse is located in easy to get to Pier 25 in the WYC off of FM2094 (see map). This facility is the flagship to launch the club's many and varied rowing craft. Included on this boathouse are several machines used for aerobic workouts including state-of-the-art Concept II rowing machines and a cross country ski machine. Also, the club's seven-place 34-ft. English pilot gigs are launched from here for the club's unique and always pleasurable weekend rows.
Along with your paid membership to the club you will have free access to ALL the facilities that the WYC can offer to USRC members. This includes key access to use tennis courts, swimming pools, exercise/weight room, sauna, kiddie playground, picnic areas, and much more. Of course biking and jogging trails can start right here.
 Rowing is metaphysical, bringing relaxation to both mind and body with each stroke. It is also a sport almost anyone can do regardless of age or level of fitness. And for some, rowing provides the first real sense of achievement and control felt in many years. Rowing is often described by clients as "The most motivational exercise experience I have ever had." Positive feedback includes improved circulation, renewed energy and alertness, increased stamina, and an enhanced sense of self worth."
USRC provides gigs, shells, kayaks and canoes and gives members the options to row, sweep and scull. The club owns 27 vessels along with 2 club boats.
Classes Classes are offered weekly, 52 weeks a year. Classes are offered to individuals who plan to continue with USRC. These classes total eight hours over three sessions and includes video training, indoor rowing expertise and "on the water experience." The cost of the eight hour course is $135.00, be sure to ask about our family and second in a group discount.
